Recently...

...I've been missing my camera so much (it was stolen in India and I've had to borrow cameras ever since...)

...I went to the camera shop in Carmarthen... just to see what I could get to replace my old camera, if I can muster up the money... soon...

...We made homemade baked beans, rhubarb and custard, wholemeal macaroni and cheese, wholemeal bread omelette, blackberry and elderberry jam, roast vegetable sauce from sad juicy tomatoes from the garden (for tomorrow's soup and pasta)... and guess what? My choosy little eater snarfled up the lot of them! I feel so happy. Next - green tomato chutney.

...I sat making little envelopes into which I'll pour sweet william flower seeds we collected in Dad's garden. Soon, I'll post them to friends so they can come to know my favorite scent of the garden (that and sweet peas).

...I watered greenhouses and pot plants whilst my parents are away in Spain.

...I enjoyed the silence and space of my parents' home... just me and Leela... We've had lots of fun.

...I became thankful for moments like these... the slowness of it all, the un-rushedness, the simplicity. This is what I need. This is what Leela needs. To slow down, to do less and to savour it. Not worrying about what to do next or where to go. Just being. Just living in and loving the now.

{even though I do still long for the moment when I can have a camera to love again...!}
